Services Information

Work & Payment Details

The way we operate is similar to other service practices, such as legal offices.

  • An agreement is drawn up for the services and other terms of the contract work
  • A modest retainer is tendered at the commencement of work, typically two or three percent of the estimated project cost.
  • Work will be done in Canada and/or at your location, as required and agreed during the term of the project.

Invoices are submitted weekly. Payment is requested within two weeks of receipt of invoice.

Payments may be made in Canadian or US Dollars, Euros, or Pounds Sternling by bank wire transfer. Please tell us which you prefer and we will remit invoices in that currency.

Building and Staging

It is least complicated and usually least expensive if clients (you) purchase the raw materials directly and the network is built on-site in your country. If you prefer, we can build and stage the network in Canada.

Projects staged at your location

We can come to your location and build the network on-site. This avoids the complexity of staging, crating, shipping, and export documentation, which can save a significant amount on the total project cost.

Projects staged in Canada

For networks built and staged1 in Canada we would draft an Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) to have the operational goals of the completed network clearly defined and decide on how many of your technicians will participate in the assembly as part of their training. A suitable facility for this project will be prepared with a power feed of the same type as is used in your country and a backbone connection that will approximate the kind you will be using (e.g., for VSAT backbone connections we will restrict the speed and introduce latency to approximate a satellite connection).

Once the network is completed and the ATP accepted, the network will be crated and exported to its final destination. If we are to be involved with the implementation project as well, then we will make plans to arrive in your country shortly after the network is expected to clear customs.

1Staging means to build, configure, and test your network as if it were installed in its ultimate location, so that we can be as certain as possible it will function as expected when it arrives in your country.
